CCD Cameras for Scientific Imaging, Spectroscopy, and Low Light Applications

Scientific CCD cameras are used in spectroscopy, low light imaging, and precision measurement applications where ultra-low noise, high sensitivity, and stable, repeatable performance are critical. Pembroke Instruments supplies cooled CCD cameras, deep-cooled CCD cameras, vacuum-compatible CCD detectors, and spectroscopy-optimized CCD camera systems for UV, VUV, XUV, visible, NIR, and X-ray applications.

Compared with standard CMOS sensors, scientific CCD cameras are often selected when long exposure performance, uniformity, photometric accuracy, and measurement stability are more important than maximum frame rate. Available configurations include compact low-noise cameras for laboratory and OEM integration, deep-cooled cameras for weak-signal measurements, and in-vacuum CCD systems for high-energy and vacuum-based experiments.

Low Noise CCD Cameras for Imaging and Spectroscopy

Greateyes scientific CCD cameras are based on a flexible platform concept for imaging and spectroscopy across the X-ray, XUV, EUV, UV, visible, and NIR range. These deep-cooled CCD cameras combine highly sensitive sensors with true 18-bit electronics to support detection of weak signals, high dynamic range measurements, and quantitative analysis.

Select among different sensor formats, pixel sizes, sensor technologies, coatings, and camera platforms to match the wavelength range, field of view, spectral format, vacuum requirements, and measurement geometry of your application.
